CHRONIC DISEASE AGGRAVATED BY FACTORY FARMS
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has been ordered by President Trump to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA), by finding the causes of chronic disease – the real epidemic – among the synergistic, environmental pollutants of our air, water, medical treatments, food, and land. The latter two suffer from factory-farm abuse of pesticides and genetic mutilation, novel vaccination of livestock (and crops!), and increasing reliance by farmers on radiation-emitting technology. For each of these the National Health Federation has a campaign to oppose them. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pinned 1989 as the year this epidemic exploded. We urge grassroots and legislative opposition to any bill – whether in Congress or the 50 States – that exempts the pesticide industry from liability for personal injuries caused by their products, thereby worsening this toxicity.
STATE PESTICIDE INJURY LIABILITY PREEMPTION
Beyond lobbying the EPA to avoid protecting consumers from pesticide-related harm, Bayer and other pesticide manufacturers are pushing for liability immunity in Georgia and a dozen other States—with more expected to follow. In addition to almost 200,000 Roundup lawsuits against Bayer-Monsanto, there are over 5,000 filed against ChemChina-Syngenta by individuals who developed Parkinson’s disease after exposure to the company’s paraquat herbicide. Big Ag, essentially, wants the same immunity that pHARMa currently enjoys from vaccine injuries. We believe that for Kennedy to MAHA and reverse chronic disease, no crony corporation should enjoy immunity from liability for their injurious behavior.
THE FARM BILL
The biggest culprit for chronic-disease causes stems from toxic exposures on factory farms. Last year’s FARM bill, which threatens to return, would have blocked local organic requirements, preempted pesticide lawsuits, further muzzled disclosure or limits on genetically modified organisms, and subsidized wireless technology blamed by a court for causing a twenty percent culling of a farmer’s cows and similar depletion of milk yield.
EPA PESTICIDE REGULATION
With the consumer explosion in demand for food that is organic, local, and non-GMO, it shocks Americans to learn that Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation of pesticides and herbicides still allows for the use of 85 toxic products banned in the European Union. And while local communities have banned chemical fertilizers in parks and public lands, politicians are seeking in the Farm Bill to preempt local organic requirements. We need, instead, U.S. Senator Booker’s “Protect America’s Children From Toxic Pesticides Act,” to limit some pesticides and protect local communities’ power to replace pesticides with organic, regenerative land-management and pest preventive management practices. Please respect local discretion on how best to protect the public.
PESTICIDES: A SCHEME FOR PROFITING OFF SICKNESS
Chemical farming has skyrocketed, mainly to facilitate the use of genetically-mutated seeds. The unavoidable truth is that it’s only a matter of time before plants will develop resistance to any approved pesticide – as they have already done for glyphosate, a key ingredient in Roundup. Award-winning journalist Sharyl Attkisson reported that over 90% of school lunches are contaminated with glyphosate. Indeed, in her report, over 3/4ths of children’s meals had almost 30 pesticides – including veterinarian drugs injected into farm animals. As regenerative farmer Howard Vlieger argues, the cross-ownership of pesticide and pharmaceutical companies demonstrates in this image how conglomerates like Bayer are making money ruining our food that is sickening humanity, then making money on the drugs sold to “treat” what are now patients (drugs whose side effects, mind you, are making Americans even sicker).
PESTICIDES TIED TO FOOD GENETIC MODIFICATION
Not only should gene-modifying shots be banned, and GMO limits be stricken from the FARM bill, but also Congress (and the States) should ban (or at least disclose) genetic modification of all food. At the very least we should muzzle our government from pressuring Mexico to adopt America’s poisonous GMO corn mandate. Russia, in fact, may have a lesson for the West – treating violations of a GMO Ban as acts of terrorism. As Americans (and humanity at large) are educated to seek natural (healthy) food, farmers should respond with organic – and “regenerative” – techniques. Only with a wholesale improvement in agriculture practices can we hope to ever mitigate the real epidemic – chronic disease.
